Amy,
I agree with what Dr. Prosperie stated yesterday. The meeting should be
located in a city where majority of the TxHUG members are located. Another
proposal would be to have in a centralized area where majority of the
members of 3 cities are located. For example, if majority of the members are
located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, San Antonio area then Have the
meeting in a place like Cameron; or if majority of the people are from El
Paso, San Antonio, and Dallas -- then San Angelo would be a good centralized
city. That way only the members that were seriously interested can attend
and if no board is set -- one can be elected. Then on an annual basis, the
TxHUG can meet have classes and seminars in a city such as Austin or San
Antonio which is approximately more of a centralized city.

Devon -- Most likely if you wished to attend training and other events, an
overnight stay would be involved. We have discussed a potential evening
meeting for TXHUG, however nothing is scheduled as yet. For those who just
wanted to attend any such meeting, it might be possible to do it in a day
trip, depending on how far you were coming from.
Everyone else -- I have had about half a dozen responses thus far, and would
appreciate hearing from more of the folks on the list, even if it is nothing
more than "I do/do not plan to attend TFMA conference." You can reply
offlist if you wish at asebring at emforum.org .
Thanks,
Amy
