Dear TXHUG Steering Committee Members --
[You may wish to save this message for future reference.]
I have now set up the list serve graciously provided by the Coastal Bend
COG and have subscribed the Steering Committee Members. Some further
info follows:
The footer of each message will include the address txhug at cbcog98.org
which is where you send messages you wish to be posted to the list.
They will not go out immediately, as they will be held by the system
until I manually release them. This is to prevent spam or viruses from
spreading thru the list.
When you reply to any message received from the list, it goes TO THE
LIST (not only to the author) so please use with caution. Any messages
that just say "Thank you" or the like should be sent directly to the
author, as I will discard them from the list.
There is a 60K limit on message size so please try to limit the size of
any attachments. Items like agendas etc. should go thru okay.
The second URL provided at the footer of every message is to Web access
for various list-related features. You can also 'bookmark" or add to
'Favorites':
http://mail.cbcog98.org/mailman/listinfo/txhug_cbcog98.org
You will need your password to use some of the features. Since the
system automatically assigns passwords, you will need to retrieve your
password by going to the URL above, scrolling down, and entering your
email address in the last input box. Your system password will be
emailed to you. Then you will be able to change your password to
something more convenient, and/or view the list of subscribers from that
same page.
There is an archive of messages that you will be able to view from the
same URL in the future. No password is required to view the archive.
Finally, new members may subscribe from that same page, and I will get a
notice to approve. You may also just send me an email to my private
address, asebring at emforum.org and I will add them.
I am also working on Charter revisions and will get something out in the
near future.
Amy
