Shari
I am happy to hear the good news, Dr. Wells, Linda Prosperie are great individuals very devoted to their work and very smart.
The third person you mention is probably Dawn Ortiz. Dawn is great also, she is very interested in HAZUS and has a couple of study cases under her belt. I have been working with Dawn for about 6 years, always a very positive influence.
Best regards

Hello Everyone! In several of our past discussions, we acknowledged a need for representation from academia on the steering committee. I happened to speak to Dr. Gordon Wells today regarding another issue and mentioned the TX HUG, which he already knew about. I explained our steering committee was well represented with the exception of academia. I asked if he would be interested in serving on the steering committee and he said he would or that someone from his department*he mentioned Linda Prosperi and Don (didn't get the last name)--could serve in this capacity. Yea!! I said I would follow up with an invitation to him to be a part of our group. He was fine with that. Of course, the invitation will be sent only if the consensus of the steering committee is that we should. Please let me know your thoughts! Have a good evening!
