EMI. Applications are due by April 28th.

"TNRIS, GDEM, and FEMA are sponsoring a HAZUS Advanced Flood training
May 22-24. The original Instructor was to be Kevin Mickey, but due to
scheduling conflicts it will be his associate Shane Hubbard. Training
will be at TCEQ and there are about 9 positions open."

The course date is June 12-15, 2006. All applications must be submitted
no later than April 28.
All admissions applications should be faxed to NETC Admissions Office
(fax 301-447-1658). State and local applicants need submit only signed
75-5s to Admissions.
This is a DRF course. All FEMA staff that wish to attend should submit
completed & signed travel authorizations to Eileen Harrison at EMI (fax
301-447-1297) for funding codes.
Application of HAZUS-MH for Disaster Operations (E179)
This course is designed to increase the level of awareness and knowledge
of Federal and state emergency management officials of the capabilities
of HAZUS-MH, the information and analyses requirements of key sections
at the Regional Operations Center (ROC) and Joint Field Office (JFO),
and the potential applications of HAZUS-MH to support decisions at the
ROC, Emergency Support Team, and the JFO including hurricane disaster
operations, mitigation, Individual Assistance (IA) and Public Assistance
(PA). The course also provides a description of the full range of
potential uses of HAZUS-MH to support disaster operations, and to
incorporate the HAZUS-MH analyses into strategies for Mitigation, IA and
PA.
Selection Criteria: FEMA Mitigation staff, Mitigation Disaster
Assistance Employees, and State Building Science and GIS professionals;
additionally, Federal and state officials who have a role and
responsibility in the Joint Field Office, with priority given to
Mitigation, Individual Assistance, and Public Assistance. The course
also targets select decision-makers on the Emergency Support Team, in
the Regional Operations Center, and the State Emergency Operations
Center.
