[TXHUG] HAZUS Training: TFMA Conference, GIS Forum

The Texas Geographic Society (TXGS) is pleased to announce two upcoming
HAZUS training opportunities.

 

In conjunction with the Texas Floodplain Management Association (TFMA)
Annual Texas Flood Conference held in Abilene the week of April 24-27, TXGS
will provide a 1-day training workshop: Introduction to HAZUS-MH for
Riverine Flood Loss Estimation. The date and time is to be determined.

In conjunction with the Texas Natural Resources Information System (TNRIS)
Annual GIS Forum held in Austin the week of May 1-5, TXGS will provide a
2-day training workshop: Introduction to HAZUS-MH for Flood and Hurricane
Loss Estimation. This course includes instruction on the coastal flood model
and hurricane/wind model in addition to the riverine flood model taught in
the one day course. This course is scheduled for Monday, May 1 and Tuesday,
